Matt was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) on Monday, May 17. On Wednesday, May 19 he started an intensive 29-day chemotherapy treatment. He will be in the hospital during this first phase. Then he will go home and continue outpatient treatment, most likely over the next three years. Despite this unexpected and serious condition, we are thankful that the outlook is good and his doctors expect a full recovery. We created this blog so that we could update friends and family about Matt’s progress, and also have a place for comments and well-wishes from everyone in Matt’s support network.

We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for caring about Matt throughout this challenging time!
